In the upper left corner, there are four squares arranged to make a larger square, which is the app selector. The app selector is used to navigate from one app to another. Clicking it will drop down a list of available apps. Depending on the user's permissions, some apps will be accessible and some will not. The accessible apps will be brightened, and a pointer finger will appear when the mouse is hovered over them. The inaccessible apps will be dimmed, and a circle with a line through it will appear over them.
